Screen Printing:
Recognition Avenue offers screen printing for as low as 24 garments being personalized with the same image for all items in the same placement location. We highly recommend bumping it up to 50 units if possible as a drastic decrease in cost on the screen printing process at that point.
Fun Facts About Screen Printing:
Did you know that with screen printing, every color you want to include needs its own screen made for the process. Your garment will go through the process of screen printing however many colors there are. This is why the cost is determined by the number of colors you want printed and quantity of garments being completed.
Did you know that the screen print inks are semi transparent so if you are printing on colored garments with any inks other than really dark inks such as black you have to add a layer of white under the entire image as a base so the finished product will show up nice and bright and crisp? It's something to keep in mind with picking your garment color as this adds another screen to your pricing unless you are wanting a more faded look. Even if you are doing white only, it would need two layers of white to prevent the shirt color from showing through.
Did you know that the type of fabric is important to the finished cost to screenprint. When screen printing on Polyester, DriFit, Tri Blend, Spandex, or Spandasol a special blocker has to be put down first before screenprinting. Why? These types of materials bleed their color into the inks.
Direct Embroidery:
This is the process of embroidering right onto the item being done, not to be confused with an embroidered patch where the embroidery method is being used to make a patch but that patch is later being applied to the garment. Direct Embroidery has a minimum of 6 items. You can not mix hats with shirts as we utilize different embroidery machines for our hats vs flat items like polos. The cost of embroidery is determined by how many items are being embroidered as well as the amount of stitches the logo will be. The amount of colors does not matter in the price. If you have your .dst file already we are happy to take a look at it and save you the cost of digitizing your logo into an embroidery file.
Direct to Film:
Do not confuse direct to film with vinyl. Completely different! Direct to film is ink printed onto a transfer and heat pressed on. When would this be a good option?
1) When you have less than 24 garments you want completed. Direct to Film has a minimum of 10.
2) When you have MANY colors in your artwork. As mentioned in screen printing is that the price is determined by the amount of colors as you need a screen for each color. With direct to film, the cost is determined by the size of the imprint and has no bearing on the amount of colors what so ever.
3) You have an item that the shape would be difficult to screen print such as a soft cooler.
